Speech-to-Braille Labelmaker
Gadget blog, Gizmodo alerts us to a new concept designed by Danni Luo. A handheld embossing braille printer which uses speech recognition. The user simply speaks into the device and a braille label is printed out.

Microsoft Confirms Six Versions of Windows 7
Technology and gadget blog Gizmodo has gotten descriptions of the six versions of Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7. The primary versions will be Home Premium, Professional and Enterprise. The other versions, Starter, Home Basic and Ultimate will be for specific niches of computer users and markets.

Single, Full-Disk Encryption on Its Way
The six largest hard drive manufacturers in the world announced a single standard for full-disk encryption for use with all types of hard drives. By using this single standard on all storage devices, the security programming can be built into the devices' firmware, lowering production costs and increasing the efficiency and usability of the security features. With this feature active, all storage devices would automatically be encrypted.
